Ruth Callard – your CPA

I pride myself on being an efficient and accurate tax return preparer. I emphasize communication to prevent misunderstandings and to ensure that I request all that I need to prepare for you a complete and advantageous tax return.

My specialty in income tax preparation began in 1980 and I have had my own tax practice since 1997. As a Washington State licensed CPA, I am required to earn 40 hours of continuing education each year and in most years I exceed that requirement. In addition, I meet with a group of other tax practitioners monthly for roundtable discussions of tax topics.

I do not strive to maximize the number of clients I serve. Rather, I like to spend extra time, often unbilled, to find complete answers to client tax issues. I also take time to keep up with relevant technology and to find ways to reduce the environmental footprint of my business.
